Wetlands are a hugely important part of our world, because they provide food and shelter to many animals, and protect coastlines from erosion. In this activity, you will learn how wetlands improve water quality in rivers and oceans using common materials to construct their own model wetland. Through hands-on experimentation, you’ll see how wetlands filter pollutants from runoff water before they enter rivers and oceans.
