Plotting Your Farmland with Equirectangular Maps – Activity 2

Learn how to design your own farm using cubemaps, and experience what your farmland will look like through the magic of VR.

There are many environmental factors that will influence the location you choose to build a farm. The temperature, growing season, and soil conditions determine crop suitability. As you take your farm design one step further, consider the topography, water sources for irrigation, and transportation options. To make good use of farmland, you must also consider how herbicides, fertilizer, weeds, insects and disease are managed.

In this activity, you'll learn how land use, ecology, and sustainability factor into farm planning and use advanced planning tools to visualize your farmland using VR and 360 Toolkit or Google Maps.
