2020 4‑H FOURWARD Fund Positive Youth Development Award Application
During this time of crisis, National 4‑H Council is launching the FOURWARD FUND to help provide kids and families with the educational resources and experiences they need. The purpose is to support essential elements of Positive Youth Development (PYD), staff and programs, including capacity building. We understand these times can put a strain on your funding and our mission is so important to all of us.
Funding is open to any Land-grant university (LGU) , Foundation or county 4‑H program. Funds will be dispersed to the 4‑H System based on availability. Not all requests will be funded and/or receive the full amount.
Multiple funding requests are permitted, however, each request should not exceed $15,000. We highly encourage State Program Leaders, Administrators and Foundation Directors to prioritize funding requests.
These funds should support skill building activities, leadership opportunities and critical work from 4‑H educators to mentor and connect to youth, especially limited resource and/or underserved youth, to support their well-being.
June 1 – 15, 2020: Applications open.
June 16, 2020: Approval by the State Program Leader, Administrator or Foundation Director.
Additional applications will be accepted on a rolling basis starting on July 1 and August 1 depending on availability of funding.
