Farmer Bastian wants to build a farm in your community, but he needs more information for it to be successful. Before he can start planting, he needs to learn about your local climate and the characteristics of plants in your area that allow them to grow well.
In this activity, you will first learn about plant hardiness zones, areas where certain kinds of plants can grow, and which help gardeners and farmers decide what to grow based on the climate in which they live. You will then go on to identify a number of plants that will work in Farmer Bastian’s community farm.
