Sensors

Authored by Rachel S. Haselby In this activity, you will learn how sensors can be used to gather data from the physical environment. You will also learn about some of the types of sensors available, as well as how to integrate them into a programmed system.
By the end of this activity, you’ll be able to identify types of sensors, explain what different types of sensors do, program Internet of Things (IoT) and robotics systems to respond to the physical environment using data gathered by sensors, and explain basic IoT system wiring. For this activity, please use a desktop or laptop computer. Mobile devices are not supported.
