Dear 2023 Graduates,

As the President & CEO of National 4-H Council, I am thrilled to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates who have reached this important milestone. Your dedication, hard work and commitment have brought you to this moment, and you should be immensely proud of your achievements.

You are graduating at a time when the world is rapidly changing, presenting real challenges and also immensely exciting opportunities. The skills and values you have developed in 4-H give you a strong foundation for pursuing your purpose and your passion - wherever it takes you. Embrace the unknown with courage and an open mind. Be adaptable, because the world is constantly evolving, and new opportunities will arise where you least expect them. Embrace diversity and inclusivity, because people who are different than us enrich our own experiences and together we can contribute to creating a more just and equitable world.

As you step into the next phase of your life, remember that the skills you have acquired through 4-H are unique. Your dedication to learning and personal growth sets you apart, and it is now your chance to apply those skills in pursuit of your dreams and aspirations. I can promise that your path won't always be easy, but you can approach challenges with confidence because of the skills you learned in 4-H.

Your country and your world needs leaders like you who are compassionate, innovative, and committed to positive change. Whether you choose to pursue higher education, enter the workforce, or start your own ventures, believe that you have the power to make a lasting impact.

As you move forward, we hope you will stay connected to the 4-H community and engage with your fellow 4-H alumni. Share your successes, challenges, and lessons learned. Offer support and mentorship to younger 4-H'ers who can benefit from your experiences. Remember that 4-H is not just a program; it is a lifelong network of individuals who share a common bond exemplified in the 4-H pledge.

Finally, as you embark on this exciting new chapter, believe in yourself and your abilities. Have confidence in your skills and trust in your instincts. You have already proven your resilience and determination by reaching this point, and I have no doubt that you will achieve great things in the years to come.

Once again, congratulations, Class of 2023! The entire 4-H community is proud of your achievements and excited to witness the impact you will create. Best of luck in all your future endeavors!

Warm regards,

Jennifer L. Sirangelo
