TRUE LEADERS IN EQUITY
About True Leaders in Equity
For more than 20 years, 4-H has been intentional in building an organization and culture of belonging by actively inviting the contributions and participation of all youth. As we continue to address the opportunity gap among all young people, our commitment is clear. To look with fresh eyes, listen with open ears, and respond with open hearts to build a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable organization.
True Leaders in Equity Institute
July 7 – July 11, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda
The True Leaders in Equity Institute will prepare up to 20 teams to be change agents within the Cooperative Extension System as we work to create more welcoming and inclusive environments. This training and leadership opportunity challenges participants to work together to ideate and champion equity-related projects that will grow 4‑H in their communities.
True Leaders in Equity Challenge
The 4-H Equity Challenge asks youth to identify issues and explore solutions for these concerns within their communities. Individuals or teams of 2-3 youth will express topics of interest with local partners, identify problems, define answers, and develop digital media projects that outline possible solutions.
