National 4‑H Council (Council) seeks an innovative Annual Fund Manager to plan, execute, and manage all phases of a comprehensive and well-coordinated annual giving program in support of Council’s mission and strategic initiatives. The Manager will develop strategies to target key constituent groups, such as alumni, lapsed donors, and convert non-donors to donors to increase average gift amounts. With guidance from the Senior Director of Individual Giving, the Manager will develop the annual fund strategy and independently lead the execution of the appeals, stewardship, and acknowledgments defined in the strategy.
4‑H seeks energetic Program Assistants (PAs) to participate in the Citizenship Washington Focus and Leadership Washington Focus educational programs, intense and exciting learning experiences for youth and adults from all over the United States and the world. The PA position includes three weeks of training, seven weeks of programming, and one week of program wrap-up. During programming weeks, the PAs are expected to work with client groups for the group’s entire stay, from Sunday afternoon until Friday night, working in collaboration with each group’s coordinator as well as Council program and planning staff. The PAs under these programs become licensed Class B Tour Guides for the Washington DC metro area and will work to facilitate National 4‑H’s educational curricula to groups of youth.
4‑H currently seeks an Educational Programs Staff Assistant to coordinate successful and smooth-flowing conferences, programs, and activities with primary focus on the day to day operations of the youth development leadership programs held at National 4‑H Conference Center such as the Citizen Washington Focus Program, the Educational Tour Program, the National Youth Summit Series, and the Program Assistant Programs. The Educational Programs Staff Assistant will assist the Center Events Program Manager and Director in developing curriculum, running programs, providing creative input and leadership for the thousands of youth that visit the Center each year.
National 4‑H Council (Council) seeks a dynamic Grants Manager, Federal to work in partnership with the Resource Development and Marketing teams to manage donor relationships through the creation and efficient delivery of holistic National 4‑H Council partnerships, inclusive of high-quality 4‑H Positive Youth Development programming nationwide and Council-led enhancements such as (marketing, professional development). Combining donor stewardship and grant management, the Manager, Federal will provide high-level project management to 4‑H stakeholders (Council, 4‑H National Headquarters [NIFA/USDA] and 4‑H field affiliates) and corporate and foundation decision-makers to advance 4‑H’s mission. Under the leadership of the Director, Account Management; the Manager will also work to ensure donor satisfaction and grantee success through effective project management, fiscal management, and excellent donor stewardship, providing ongoing donor support, retention, and renewal. This position anchors multiple, cross-functional internal and external teams.

By sharing their stories and featuring them in a variety of venues and mediums, we reinforce 4‑H’s relevancy and role as a leading youth development organization. To this end, Council seeks a Public Relations (PR) & Marketing Specialist to support the overall management and execution of the 4‑H Youth Voices Platform. The platform includes the 4‑H Youth in Action Program, the Young Alumni Advisory Committee, the 4‑H Youth Leaders Profile Network and the overall alumni and youth spokesperson function within Council’s Marketing & Brand Department. The specialist will manage, coordinate and prepare youth and 4‑H influencers to serve as effective spokespeople for earned media and public speaking opportunities on behalf of 4‑H; and the seamless integration of trained 4‑H youth spokespeople into opportunities and campaigns within other Council functions such as owned digital media platforms, corporate partnerships, National 4‑H Youth Conference Center, among others. Additionally, the specialist will support the PR & Celebrity Relations team’s influencer program and other PR activities as needed.
Council seeks an innovative Resource Development (RD) Coordinator, Account Management and Operations to work in partnership with Account Managers in managing grantee and donor relationships through the creation and efficient delivery of holistic National 4‑H partnerships, inclusive of high-quality 4‑H Positive Youth Development programming nationwide; and Council-led enhancements (i.e., marketing, professional development). The RD Coordinator will also assist with data collection, supporting the team meet agreed-upon deliverable, ensuring donor satisfaction, and increasing the field’s capacity to deliver high-quality 4‑H Positive Youth Development Programming.
The Resource Development Coordinator will provide general administrative support and coordinate development projects for the fundraisers within the Resource Development (RD) department to achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
Council seeks an innovative Strategic Relations Manager responsible for assisting in the implementation of Trustee, donor and alumni development and engagement strategies. The Manager will assist the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and other Executive Team members with creating, communicating and executing long- and short-term initiatives within Council and within the 4‑H system. Additionally, the Manager will develop alliances and engagement opportunities in line with Council’s strategic plan. She/he will report directly to the CSO.
