4‑H seeks energetic Program Assistants (PAs) to participate in the Citizenship Washington Focus: Presidential Inauguration educational program, intense and exciting learning experiences for youth and adults from all over the United States and the world. The position includes three weeks of training, seven weeks of programming, and one week of program wrap-up. During programming weeks, the PAs are expected to work with client groups for the entire stay, from Sunday afternoon until Friday night, working in collaboration with each group’s coordinator as well as Council program and planning staff. Additionally, the PAs under these programs must become licensed Class B Tour Guides for the Washington DC metro area and will work to facilitate Council’s educational curricula to youth groups.
Council seeks a seasoned Executive Assistant (EA) to provide high-level administrative assistance in support of the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (SVP & CFO) and Mission Support Team, mostly for the Finance/Accounting Team. Additionally, the EA will coordinate, plan, and provide administrative support to multiple projects and initiatives within the department.
Council currently seeks a Staff Accountant to coordinate its accounts payable function. This position will be responsible for monthly bank account and corporate card reconciliations. Additionally, the Staff Accountant will review and process vendor/payee invoice payments; Associates’ expense reports, and prepare annual tax forms, including 1099s and personal property tax. The Staff Accountant will also conduct relevant research, troubleshoot issues, and serve as a liaison between internal and external customers/vendors.
