RESEARCH shows that 4‑H’ers make positive contributions to their communities.
This April, as part of True Leaders in Service and National Volunteer Appreciation Month, 4‑H’ers across the nation will pledge their hands to larger service – leading positive change that empowers their peers and their communities. True Leaders in Service will officially kick-off the first day of April, and culminate with the National 4‑H Day of Service on Saturday, April 28.
Join the thousands of 4‑H’ers who will venture out into their communities to do what 4‑H’ers do best: lead in service to tackle community challenges and help meet the needs of others.

Aubrey Plaza, 4‑H Service Ambassador
4‑H is thrilled to announce actress, producer and Delaware 4‑H alumna Aubrey Plaza as our newest Ambassador of Service. As a 4‑H’er in Wilmington, Delaware, Aubrey engaged in service projects that showed her the impact young people can make on their communities. These life-changing experiences instilled compassion, confidence and other life skills that have shaped Aubrey today. In this role, Aubrey will serve as an advocate for 4‑H’s civic engagement initiatives and inspire 4‑H’ers across the country to make a difference in their communities.
True Leaders in Service Events
In April 2017, thousands of 4‑H’ers gave back in their towns and neighborhoods through community service projects.
This April, let’s continue our commitment to service in our communities: Be sure to register a True Leaders in Service event of your own!
