Shop ‘Til You Drop

Authored by Claudia Mincemoyer, PhD., Professor Emeritus, Penn State University. Adapted from the Smart Cents Curriculum, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, 2019.
Buying things is a part of growing up, having your own money, and taking care of yourself. It also means that you have to figure out how to pay for the things you want to buy.
Where you shop can depend on many things! A nearby store is easy to get to, and some shops are fun because the workers are friendly. Online shopping lets you buy things anytime, and thrift stores can help you save money. In this activity, you'll explore different places to shop and when to choose each one!
